Hi-tide + hi-tech lite
      #104782 - Wed Apr 01 2009 07:01 PM

Hi there folks...

I have just installed hi-tide on my linux machine and the installtion work out great! I have used default installtion dirs and added the paths... I can startup hi-tide but when I try to start an new project, an new Hi-tech C project I get the messages that:

"The selected product is not installed or must be reinstalled."
"HI-TECH C PRO for the PIC10/12/16 MCU Family (9.69PL5) - Corrupted Installation"

I really dont know how to fix this... :/

So if someone could help me it would be great! I have just bought the new book "Beginner's Guide to Embedded C Programming" and would like this to work... I had it working before an a different computer though.. :/

All the part are installed in lite mode...

Best Regards Robert

I ran into the same problem. Running Fedora Core 7. Installed as regular user (not su -) and have following directories in my home directory:
hi-tide/3.15PL2
picc/std
picc-18/pro
picc-18/std
When trying to change the package (to compile for PIC18 family chips) my Project:Chip/Package selection is empty, as is the Compiler Selection...). When going through the File:New: New Project/HI-TECH C-PROJECT all my installation show up as corrupt and needing reinstallation...

Any help is greatly appreciated!
PS. I tried to install as super user, which caused issues as well, but will try again (will post results if more success).

Thanks so much to all who reply!
